A Guide For Every Wedding Dress Code

Our designers have compiled their expertise to help you dress your best for any upcoming wedding or event.

Black Tie

A tuxedo is a must as it's the most formal attire. Pair a peak lapel jacket with a bowtie or long tie, shawl collar always requires a bow. Vests are optional but always a great way to stand out from the crowd and elevate your look

Black Tie Optional

This attire allows guests to dress up without requiring a tuxedo. If you choose not to wear a tux, a dark suit and a pair of loafers is a great choice! Appropriate colors include, Black, Navy, and grays.

Formal Attire

Tuxedo’s and dinner jackets are not required, but looking at the part is just as important here. If you have a 3pc suit, this is a great occasion to pull it out and enter with an elevated level of sophistication. Have some fun in this category and pull out some patterned or brighter colors to set yourself apart.

Cocktail Attire

This attire is where you have more flexibility on your dress code and have a little more fun!

While a suit and tie are encouraged, a white shirt, a sport coat and dress pants are acceptable! Though a bow tie and tie is not required to add some color and formality, try a color or patterned pocket square to spruce up your look.

Beach Formal Attire

The trickiest attire of them all, what do you wear at the beach while keeping it formal?!

Linen and cotton fabric work best to combat the heat while looking stylish. A nice blazer and slacks are the perfect attire. The best colors are tan, light gray, and light blue

Semi-Formal/ Dressy Casual

Though we are beginning to lead into casual, keeping it formal for the event is essential!

You can’t go wrong with your traditional suit and tie or a nice jacket/sport coat. Remember that dark colors and hues are for evening ceremonies and light colors are for the daytime.

Daytime/Casual

Don't pull out your jeans and t-shirt just yet! Though this attire is casual, you should put your best foot forward to celebrate. You can never go wrong with a blazer, crisp white shirt or polo and custom cotton chinos. A floral shirt & leather sneaker can change up the look, depending on the venue.
